A Diagnostic-Led Workshop

Although diagnostics is a major part of what we do, Autodiag is also a fully equipped mechanical repair workshop. We carry out a wide range of servicing and repair work — and because we approach everything diagnostically, repairs are based on what testing actually shows, not what seems likely.

This means fewer unnecessary parts, fewer repeat visits, and work that gets done right the first time.

What We Carry Out

• Mechanical servicing — oil and filter changes, fluid checks and replacements
• Brake repairs — pads, discs, callipers, brake fluid and handbrake systems
• Suspension and steering repairs — bushes, arms, ball joints, shock absorbers
• Engine work — timing systems, cooling system repairs, gaskets
• Driveline repairs — clutch, gearbox, driveshaft and CV joint work
• Cooling system repairs — thermostat, water pump, radiator, hoses
• Exhaust and emissions system repairs
• Post-MOT rectification work
• Electrical repairs and component replacement following diagnosis

Parts and Pricing

We use quality parts appropriate to the vehicle and repair. Where you have a preference on parts supplier or specification, let us know and we'll discuss the options.

Our labour rate is £114 including VAT (£95 + VAT) per hour. Wherever possible, we provide a written estimate before starting repair work. If anything changes during the job, we contact you before continuing.

After a Diagnostic or Investigation

If you've been through a diagnostic or mechanical investigation with us, repair work flows naturally from the findings. We've already confirmed what needs doing — so we can get straight to fixing it efficiently and accurately.

For vehicles coming in from other garages with a diagnosis already completed, we're happy to discuss the findings and proceed with repairs if everything is clear.

Honest Advice

We don't recommend work that isn't needed. If something is borderline, we'll tell you — and explain clearly what to watch for and when it may need attention. You're in control of decisions about your vehicle.
